For maintenance of SAMs and cryptographic keys we provide key management software. Different types of SAMs with different security levels, dedicated to the security level of the media used as travelling ticket, can be offered.
All our security products are in-house developments based on certified security chips which can easily be tailored in case of special requirements.
UNITED ACCESS´s broad range of tags and OEM reader devices is targeted to serve this increasing demand. Our products can be used in applications for tracking of goods like containers, jewels, gas bottles, beer kegs, tools, automotive parts, medical instruments and some others more. Tags and readers are offered for the main frequency bands like LF (125 kHz to 134 kHz), HF (13,56 MHz) and UHF (860 MHz to 969 MHz).
In order to provide solutions for this market our product portfolio offers entry level as well as high end solutions. On entry level standard RFID media like Mifare can be used to protect the logon process to a Windows based PC. On high end level a smart card can be used for high secure logon based on a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI / Kerberos) combined with email encryption and signature. Very often the logical access protection is combined with physical access control on media level by using hybrid cards (combining different chip technologies within one card or token) or multi-application cards (several applications on one chip).
Physical access control is the classic way of protecting a building against non-authorised access at the outer shell of a building or at the border line of a campus. This physical access control is handled by automated systems verifying RFID based id-tokens. Older generations of such systems are based on so called white list verifications using the unique id of the embedded RFID chips. Due to new technologies used by attackers more and more systems are migrated to high secure RFID products based on high end cryptographic methods. In order to prepare convenient solutions for the end users very often such physical access media are combined with logical access functionality like in hybrid media (combining different chips within one media) or multi applications media (representing several logical applications on one chip).
UNITED ACCESS is focused on providing such high end products personalised in accordance to customer needs. Personalisation means printing of cards or tokens as well as encoding of the integrated RFID chips. Handling and maintaining cryptographic elements for our customers is our daily business. Furthermore UNITED ACCESS offers a broad portfolio of high quality card printing and encoding devices in order to enable the customer for self enrolment of access credentials. Additionally we also offer personalisation software incorporating as well the printing and the encoding of RFID and smart cards.

The use of highly secure media to identify hospital staff and patients is therefore a necessity. In addition to the aspect of security, the aspect of multifunctionality is of increasing importance.
The RFID media produced and delivered by us meet these requirements by using the latest chip generations. In addition to these multi-application tags, RFID reading and coding modules, card printing systems and card accessories are also part of our portfolio.
The classic ID card in ISO format becomes a constant companion for students with daily use – this ranges from enrollment and issuance of study records to secure remote access to the university’s IT, use of public transport and paying in the cafeteria. In addition to a highly secure chip in the ID card, a technology also often used is a rewritable TRW stripe on the card body to visualize the entitlement per semester.
The increasing costs for construction and maintenance of road infrastructure, the necessity of traffic routing and the need of new sources of income for public authorities are the main driving factors for expansion of existing and development of new road toll systems. Especially inner city toll and heavy traffic tolling are emerging segments within this market.
In order to fulfil the two main requirements within such systems – performance and security – the system provider intensively look for encapsulated security components to be used in on- board-units (OBU) as well as in the road side equipment. United Access is focused on the development of such security modules (SAMs) with dedicated operating systems serving the very special functional requirements and high performance needs. All our in-house developments within this special segment are based on certified smart card security controllers from Infineon or NXP.
